Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms govern your use of woodcalcs.uk (the “site”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. What the site provides

The site is a free library of woodworking, furniture-making and timber calculators plus reference content. It is provided “as is” without account registration or payment.

2. Accuracy and professional advice

Calculators are estimates based on established woodworking practice, published timber and fastener standards, and manufacturer datasheets. Real-world results depend on the species and grade of your timber, its moisture content, your tools and machine setup, and your own measuring and cutting. Always measure twice and cut once, and verify every dimension and material quantity before cutting or purchasing.

The site is not a substitute for professional advice. Where a project carries a structural load — for example decking, pergolas, garden structures, beds, or shelving carrying heavy loads — confirm spans, joist sizing and fixings with a qualified structural engineer or building professional, and check whether the work needs Building Regulations approval or planning permission. Always follow the safety instructions for your power tools and machinery.

3. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
